The U.S.-Qatar Business Council – Doha (USQBC Doha) hosted a networking session with H.E. Harry Coker Jr., Secretary of Commerce of the State of Maryland, bringing together council members for a focused discussion on business and investment opportunities.
The session took place on Tuesday, 6 October 2026 at W Doha Hotel in West Bay and offered participants an opportunity to engage directly with H.E. Harry Coker Jr., Secretary of Commerce of the State of Maryland, on the investment climate, priority sectors and potential opportunities for businesses looking to strengthen connections with the State of Maryland.

Connecting Business Leaders in Qatar and Maryland
The discussion provided a platform for business leaders in Qatar to build relationships with Maryland and explore areas where deeper economic and commercial cooperation could be developed.
Participants were able to gain firsthand insight into Maryland's business and investment environment while engaging with a senior official responsible for supporting economic development and trade in the state.
The networking format also created an opportunity for members to discuss potential partnerships and strengthen connections between the private sector in Qatar and stakeholders in Maryland.
Supporting Qatar-U.S. Business Connections
USQBC Doha said the session reflects its continued commitment to creating platforms that connect its members with key stakeholders across the United States and Qatar.
Through meetings and networking opportunities such as this session, the council aims to support new avenues for bilateral business, investment and partnership while strengthening relationships between companies and decision-makers in both markets.
