With the weekend coming up, we’ve got a few suggestions to keep you entertained and busy for the next three days. Qatar’s got a lot going on, you just need to know where to look, so make the most of your free time and check out these events and venues for something new and fun to do.

1. Doha Festival at Entertainment World Village

Dates: 12 December, 2018 - 19 January, 2019

Timings: 7:00 pm - 1:00 am

Ticket purchase is at the door though general entry is free.

At Entertainment World Village's Doha Festival, enjoy thrilling rides in the amusement park from Freij World, explore international pavilions, witness the magic of the circus and the awesome Jurrasic park.

If you're feeling hungry, stop by one of the restaurants on the beach and enjoy some mouthwatering cuisine.

Don't miss out on this outdoor entertainment while the weather's good!

 

2. Shop Qatar's Lush Masterclasses

Dates: 28 December, 2018 - 12 January, 2019

Timings: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Where: Miqab Mall

The classes are free!

3. Adventure Time Activity Zone at DFC with Cartoon Network

Dates: 17 December 2018 - 2 January 2019

Timings: 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Where: Doha Festival City

Entry is free!

Doha Festival City’s partnership with the leading kids channel, Cartoon Network, continues with the launch of the Adventure Time Activity Zone.

The activity zone is located at the Centre Court, Ground Floor, and themed as the 'Land of Ooo'. It features an array of activities for kids aged between 4 and 12 years old.

The activities include arts and crafts, a maze, mini golf, screenings of fan-favourite episodes and opportunities to try the Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head VR game, all housed within special zones such as Jake’s Labyrinth and the Ice Kingdom and creating lots of great photo opportunities!

 

4. Torba Weekend Farmers Market

Dates: Fridays and Saturdays, 16 November 2018 - 30 March 2019

Timings: 

Friday - 7:30 am - 11:30 am, 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Saturday - 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Where: Ceremonial Court, Education City

The Torba Farmers Market is back on every weekend until the end of the winter season. The market welcomes everyone as the growing community of farmers, vendors, local food and beverages producers and promoters come together with the aim to create a nurturing environment for locally grown and developed products that are highly organic and environmentally sustainable.

 

5. Soap and candle making classes for children

Date: Saturday, 29 December

Timings: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Where: Qurm Hall, Recreation Centre, Education City

If you want your children to try a new activity, try this fun hands-on workshop for children which will help them make their own soaps and candles, allowing them to experiment with natural ingredients, fragrances, designs, and colours.
