The World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) is all set to kick off on November 15, 2020.

This year’s summit is special as it comes in the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be held virtually.

Under the banner, ‘One World, Our Health,’ WISH 2020 will digitally bring together eminent personalities from across the globe including healthcare leaders, practitioners, advocates, researchers and idea generators to discuss major health challenges.

The summit this year seeks to catalyze collaborative action through dialogue and innovation toward creating a healthier world.

Keynote speakers are WISH 2020 include:

Morgan Freeman

Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman is one of the most recognizable figures in American cinema. His works are among the most critically and commercially successful films of all time. Freeman ranks within the Top 10 worldwide top-grossing actors of all time.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is an award-winning actor, producer, director, and entrepreneur, philanthropist and “Desperate Housewives” alumna. She founded the Eva Longoria Foundation in 2012 to help Latinas build better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was elected as WHO Director-General for a five-year term by WHO Member States at the Seventieth World Health Assembly in May 2017. He is the first WHO Director-General to have been elected from multiple candidates by the World Health Assembly, and is the first person from the WHO African Region to serve as WHO’s chief technical and administrative officer.

Dr. Tom Catena

Tom Catena, MD is a surgeon, veteran, catholic missionary, globally-recognized humanitarian and inaugural Chair of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative. In his role as Aurora Chair, Dr. Catena engages with politicians, humanitarian organizations, practitioners, and everyday people around the world to spread the message of Gratitude in Action.

Hassan Al Thawadi

Hassan Al Thawadi is the Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the organization responsible for coordinating amongst public and private entities to ensure that infrastructure and development projects are delivered in readiness for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
