To meet the fuel and energy needs of the growing population, Qatar Fuel (Woqod) has accelerated its efforts to set up new petrol stations across the country. 

Just on Wednesday, Woqod had announced the opening of Al Sailiya - 2 Petrol Station and the expansion of Al Markhiya Petrol Station, as well as the opening two mobile petrol stations at The Pearl and South Al Aamriya.

And now, it has also confirmed the opening of Baaya Petrol Station, taking the strength of its network of various petrol stations to 97.

The Al Sailiya - 2 Petrol Station is spread over a 10,000 square meter area and has three lanes with nine dispensers for light vehicles.

The Al Markhiya Petrol Station expansion is spread over a 5,300 square meter area and has three lanes with three dispensers for light vehicles, in addition to the existing four dispensers with four lanes.

Al Sailiya - 2 Petrol Station offers round-the-clock services to residents and includes a Sidra Convenience Store, manual car wash, oil change and tyre repair, and sale of Shafaf LPG cylinders, in addition to the sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.

Al Markhiya Petrol Station also features a Sidra convenience store, with Shafaf and gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles available for sale.

Baaya Petrol Station is spread over an area of 7,400 square meters and has four lanes with eight dispensers for light vehicles, which will serve the Baaya area and their neighborhood.

Baaya Petrol Station also offers round-the-clock services to residents and includes a Sidra convenience store.

Woqod managing director and CEO Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi said, "Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort."

Al Muhannadi added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 15 new petrol stations, with most of them scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2020.
