Chess Competitions

Chess Competitions take place at Arabian Court in City Center Doha on 2 and 3 November 2026. Earthna lists a community chess tournament organised by City Center Doha with the Qatar Chess Federation during Qatar Sustainability Week.

The Qatar Chess Federation has separately confirmed the Qatar Sustainability Open Chess Championship on Tuesday, 3 November, beginning at 4:00 PM. The open blitz competition uses nine Swiss-system rounds, with three minutes per player and a two-second increment for each move.

A total prize fund of QAR 9,750 is allocated to participants in the confirmed 3 November championship. The event combines competitive chess with the wider community engagement programme at City Center Doha in West Bay.
