Silent Sky

Silent Sky by acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson comes to THIS Theatre in Mesaimeer this October. This moving theatrical play is based on the true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt, who joins a group of women 'computers' charting the stars at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s.

The production explores a woman's place in society during a remarkable era of scientific discovery, as Henrietta balances her dedication to science with family and love. It's a thoughtful, inspiring evening of theatre for audiences across Qatar.

Evening performances take place on the 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of October, with doors opening at 7:00 PM and shows starting at 7:30 PM. Dedicated student shows are scheduled at 9:30 AM on Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th, Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st of October. The play is recommended for ages 10+ and contains some adult themes.
