Actively identify the innovative methods to increase sales and quality of Fish & Sea Foods. Promotes a quality driven environment through educating the customers on latest products such as fish fillets, marinated items and fresh pre- packed.
Responsible in creating and promoting an innovative environment in the Fishery & Sea Food section.
Mentor, coach and conduct training of new stockers at Fishery section to ensure team understands the operations of the section. . ordering of products, shelf life, pricing & costing and quality of Fish and Sea Food products sold at the store.
Manages performance, taking corrective action, where required, on poor performers in line with group HR policy
Establishing, Assign and managing the duty shifts of stockers at Fishery section and scheduling break periods, work hours, and vacations
Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed.
Direct and supervise stockers engaged in sales, inventory-taking, performing service for customers. Conduct monthly inventory counts for the section
Report on merchandise discrepancies, disposals based on inventory, profit and loss to the department head
Delegate work activities to 3rd party employees such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays
Keep records of purchases and sales. Monitor sales activities daily turnover
Ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods
Lead and implement policies, goals, objectives and procedures of the section.
Purchasing of Fish & Sea Food as required to store from various suppliers
Oversee the daily operations in the Fishery & Sea Food department
Ensure safety rules, production and sanitation standards are met.
Resolve and reconcile Purchase Order related issues
Follow-up customer concerns/ complaints and examine discrepancy reports.
When required, oversee the daily operations of other sections under fresh food department
Conduct competitor surveys every month related to Fishery & Sea Food with competitors and report the findings to the department head to decide on better product range, pricing mark-ups and identify new suppliers
Conduct market research on new Fish and Sea Food related products sold in other parts of the world and identify suppliers or methods of sourcing the products
