Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain VoIP/UC platforms (Cisco Call Manager/CUCM, Avaya, Microsoft Teams Voice, Asterisk, etc.), UCCX scripting and managing the UCCX flow, Voice system integration with Fire Alaram
- Configure and troubleshoot SIP trunks, gateways, and PSTN interconnects
- Manage voice gateways, session border controllers (SBCs), and voicemail systems
- Implement and maintain QoS policies for voice traffic across the LAN/WAN
- Configure routing and switching infrastructure supporting voice VLANs (Cisco IOS/NX-OS, switches, routers)
- Ensure voice network security — call encryption (SRTP/TLS), firewall rules for SIP/RTP, VLAN segmentation, and prevention of toll fraud
- Perform troubleshooting for call quality issues (jitter, latency, packet loss)
- Coordinate with carriers/ISPs for SIP trucking and E1/PRI circuits
- Maintain documentation: network diagrams, dial plans, IP addressing schemes
- Support disaster recovery and redundancy planning for voice systems
- Conduct capacity planning and system upgrades/patching
- Coordinating with Presales for the complete solution design
Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with routing and switching (OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel)
- Firewall and security fundamentals (ACLs, NAT, VPN, SBC configuration)
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, Cisco Voice Gateways, or equivalent UC platforms, UCCX
- QoS design and implementation for converged networks
Certifications Required / Preferred
Core Voice / Collaboration
- CCNA Collaboration or CCNP Collaboration (Cisco) industry standard for voice engineers or equivalent
