The Ministry of Municipality announced the discharge of over 128 million gallons of rainwater over 68 continuous hours of operation, as part of the Joint Rainfall Emergency Committee's efforts to handle the weather conditions that swept across the country from March 25 to 28, 2026.
The committee managed to swiftly address rainwater accumulation and all reports in record time, thereby contributing to traffic safety, protecting citizens and residents, and maintaining the flow of traffic, the Ministry posted on X Platform on Sunday.
It further noted that operation teams engaged in extensive efforts, comprising 808 staff members and workers, backed by 479 field mechanisms.
As demonstrated by the Ministry's data, the workforce conducted 30,416 water extraction operations and handled 2,755 service requests received through the Unified Call Center Department.
