The Gulf Football Federation announced the postponement of the 2026 Gulf Super Cup match between Iraq’s Duhok FC (winners of the inaugural Gulf Club Champions Cup) and Qatar’s Al Rayyan SC (winners of the second edition of the Qatar Stars League). The match, originally scheduled for August 13, will now be held at a later date.
The Federation confirmed in a statement that the match will take place in Duhok, Iraq, as originally planned. The new date and final arrangements will be announced in due course, in coordination with relevant authorities.
The Gulf Super Cup is a newly established competition aimed at developing regional football and enhancing the presence of Gulf football on the regional stage.
