Qatar unveils QR800 million residential endowment project to support community programmes
The General Directorate of Endowments at Qatar's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced a new QR800 million residential endowment project designed to generate sustainable returns for community programmes and charitable initiatives.
The large-scale residential development forms part of the Directorate's strategy to strengthen endowment investments while supporting long-term social and economic development. Revenue generated from the project will be directed towards funding community programmes and expanding the impact of charitable work across Qatar.
The initiative also reinforces the role of endowment (waqf) investments in creating sustainable funding sources for projects that benefit society, in line with Qatar's broader development goals and efforts to maximise the value of endowment assets.
Officials said the project reflects the continued evolution of Qatar's endowment sector, with a focus on investing in high-quality real estate developments that generate long-term returns while contributing to community wellbeing and sustainable development.
