Tickets for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, set to run in the country from January 12 to February 10, 2024, will go on sale on Tuesday, October 10, announced the tournament’s Local Organising Committee (LOC).

Organisers said the competition’s ticket prices will start at QR25, with different packages available for different fans (single match ticket, favourite team packages during the tournament’s first round, group stages and other options).

“Tickets to the tournament will be released in stages, and they will not be linked to fan entry visas or the Hayya card,” said the LOC’s Executive Director of Marketing and Communications Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari.

A total of 51 matches are set to be played across nine stadiums, seven of which earlier hosted games of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Tickets will be sold through the organizing committee’s website as well as the AFC website.

Meanwhile, LOC said arrangements had been made for diverse accommodation options for fans at very reasonable prices.

Al Kuwari said the legacy left by Qatar’s hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup had given them plenty of accommodation options.

“Coordination is also taking place with Qatar Tourism for some accommodation and lodging offers. Additionally, we’re also in the process of working with the participating teams, either through official federations or official associations affiliated with the federations,” he said, during a Press conference in Doha on Monday.

He said arrangements were also being made to increase flights to and from neighbouring countries, specifically Saudi Arabia.

Engineer Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, the Head of the Tourism Marketing and Promotion Sector at Qatar Tourism, said many tourist events would coincide with the tournament’s dates.

The 18th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, which Qatar will host for the third time, will see them compete as defending champions.
