AlMoez Ali is a name known by many football fans in Qatar, engraving his name in the hearts of those who support the Qatari National Team. As the top scorer in the Asian Cup and showcasing exceptional performances for the national team, he is on the path to becoming a football legend.

The recent partnership with Red Bull gave AlMoez the spotlight to talk about certain aspects of his life that made him the great player he is today. The interview touched on his early days as a football player, his career development, what he learned from his experiences, and future prospects as a valuable player for the Qatari national team in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup and other tournaments.

AlMoez expressed his admiration for football players such as Khalfan Ibrahim, Hassan El Haydous and top scorer, Sebastian, hoping to attain the same position as these well-renowned players. He said, “With the help of God, I was able to achieve such scores and even more. This was the fruit of the collective efforts of the team I play with, who helped me reach to the top.”

Like many talented football players, Almoez too faced harsh situations at the start of his career at a small club. His determination and hard work towards honing his skills allowed him to keep moving forward, especially during his time at Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence.

When training at Aspire Academy, he explained that it was a critical point for him as a player as it allowed him to train with professional players and identify gaps in terms of ability. As a very young player, this motivated him to work twice as hard with the support of the coach and teammates to improve his skills.

“I used to train with Spanish soccer star Raul Gonzalez. He was one of the people who helped me at Aspire. He gave me plenty of good advice and useful tips on attacking tactics and finishing. The trainer of the national team, coach Felix Sanchez, was also of great help to me and trusted me as a striker. He nurtured the goal-scorer within me and advised me incessantly on how important it was to keep trying,” said AlMoez.

According to Almoez, qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand was a dream come true as the national team had qualified for the first time in the last 28 years. Moreover, being the top scorer for the U-20 World Cup at just the age of 19 marked the kickoff of his football career.

The captain of Al Duhail SC, AlMoez, explained that he wants his team to win the Asian Champions League title, further cementing their presence in the football scene. He had also met with the Austrian Red Bull Salzburg Team in Doha and expressed his delight in their success and treatment of players. He firmly believes that a player who has the support of Red Bull will be able to achieve anything on the football pitch.

With FIFA World Cup 2022 set to take place in Qatar, AlMoez expressed his delight in being able to have the home advantage and to finally play in the national team among the football fans in Qatar. It has always been his dream to display class and exceptional performances for both the team and his country at the World Cup.

When asked about the pressure that comes with this much recognition, he explained that the psychological pressure initially had its toll. Although, time helped to gain better self-control and play with confidence.

AlMoez explained that the secret to his success at a very young age was simply loyalty, dedication and love for both football and team, allowing him to keep raising the standard every time for the club and national team. This level of humility showcased by the instinctive striker is inspirational for many rising future football stars in Qatar.

The club captain and national team scorer, Almoez, has always played a vital role for his club, team and country. He wishes to continue serving his nation loyally and encourages fans and young players to focus on learning and enhancing their knowledge to attain success as an athlete and professional alike.

He stated, “I wish all the success to everyone, for the good of our country, and the achievement of our goals. My message is that work, dedication and love in everything we do are the key to success.”
