Doha Metro and Lusail Tram announced via their social media channels yesterday, the availability of alternative bus routes on Friday, August 18 as the Doha Metro Red Line service undergoes temporary service adjustments.

Spanning 40 km from Al Wakra in the south to Lusail in the north, the Red Line service is used daily by thousands of commuters as it connects key locations such as the Hamad International Airport (HIA), City Centre, Katara and Lusail amongst others.

To ensure a hassle free commute this weekend, Doha Metro and Lusail Tram has introduced the following bus routes:

• Route 1: A one-way route stretching from Al Wakra to Lusail QNB
• Route 2: A one-way route stretching from Lusail QNB to Al Wakra
• Route 3: A shuttle service between the Free Zone and HIA

Adding that busses will be available every five minutes for routes 1, 2 and 3, it was also noted that buses running on these alternative routes will not make any stops at the Ras Bu Fontas and Katara stations.

It was further stated that the Green Line and Gold Line will remain unaffected by the temporary service adjustments taking place along the Red Line.

The Doha Metro Red Line will resume normal operations on Saturday.
