Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received a telephone call from Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs HRH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud on Monday.

During the call, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the MoU between USA Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in order to maintain regional security, preserve the gains achieved, and enhance regional stability.

He reiterated Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.
