People going to and from Al Wakra will find their journey a little easier to negotiate, with Ashghal finally announcing the opening of a 2.5km stretch of road tomorrow.
The new permanent road, which will also have three flyovers along Mesaieed Road, is a part of the Al Wakra Bypass Project, reported Gulf Times.

The country’s Public Works Authority Ashghal said the opening marks another milestone on the project which is due to open part of its 11km main carriageway in the coming month.
Road users currently using the existing diversion of Mesaieed Road will be shifted on to the new section of road with two lanes in each direction, reported The Peninsula.
The shift will be implemented in two phases, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department, starting with southbound traffic towards Mesaieed Road on May 24.
This will be followed by northbound traffic towards Al Wakra on Sunday (May 28).
Meanwhile, Qatar Tribune said Ashghal was requesting all road users to strictly abide by the 50kmph speed limit in these roads and follow the newly implemented traffic road signs.
