Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held separate telephone conversations with Oman’s Foreign Minister HE Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday, July 26.
The discussions reviewed Qatar’s bilateral relations with Oman and the UAE and ways to strengthen cooperation, as well as the latest regional developments and joint diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance regional security and stability.
HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of all parties adhering to dialogue and diplomacy and implementing the understandings reached under the MoU between USA and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
He reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for efforts to defuse tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that delivers lasting peace in the region.
