The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' announces the reopening of traffic on Corniche Street which was closed temporarily in both directions from Friday, August 6 until Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
This traffic diversion plan was implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) aimed at facilitating the completion of some construction works of the Corniche Street development project.
The development works included the completion of implementing four pedestrian tunnels, as these tunnels aim to enhance pedestrian traffic and connect the paths to the neighborhoods.
The construction works also included three plazas on the Corniche including Al Dafna Plaza, Corniche Plaza, and Al Bidda Plaza, in addition to studying some infrastructure development works in public utility service.
Earlier today, Ashghal has announced the opening of Faleh Bin Nasser Interchange on Salwa Rd and Haloul Interchange on Haloul St.
Ashghal announced the news on social media, highlighting that it will improve traffic flow in the Bu Hamour, Al Mamoura, Ain Khaled, Al Waab, and AlAziziyah areas.
