The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has announced a temporary full road closure of Al Rayyan Roundabout, located on 22 February Street.

However, the whole bridges and underpass on 22 February Street will remain open to traffic.

The diversion is part of the authority’s upgrading works in the roundabout, which will be implemented on July 18 between 11.30 pm and 5 am and on July 19 and 20 from 11.30 pm to 11 am.

The diversion has been announced to allow the reinstatement of bitumen surface and pedestrian and footpath upgrade works.

Ashghal will install the relevant road signs guiding motorists about the closure.

The authority has urged all road users to abide by the speed limits and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.

During this time, the speed limit will be lowered to 50 kph throughout the diversion to ensure the safety of traffic and project workers.
