Ashghal will go into property development overdrive starting in 2018 when they start to build up around 32,855 plots of land in the country.
These infrastructure projects, spread over 14 areas across the country, will all be completed between 2018 and 2022, reported Gulf Times.
Of these, 24,284 plots are in regular use right now while 8,571 are newly developed and left unused, according to Qatar Tribune.
Ashghal is currently implementing infrastructure projects to serve more than 22,000 land plots spread over 18 areas. These include 20,637 plots in the existing areas and 1,829 are in newly developed areas.
Ashghal is expected to complete 23 projects to develop infrastructure in various areas before the end of this year, serving approximately 15,108 citizens.
The authority has completed four projects in the vicinity of Doha, namely the roads and infrastructure development project in the Industrial Area — Package 1 and the construction of a parallel road from Rawdat Rashed to Umm Garn.
Seven are projects being implemented to serve more than 4,000 plots, namely the roads and infrastructure development projects in Muaither West (Al Manaseer) – Package 1 and the roads and infrastructure development project in Aziziyah East.
Many of Ashghal’s infrastructure projects include, green areas, cycle paths, pedestrian paths and many features will improve the citizens’ lives in the areas.
