Barzah Capital joins QFC Digital Assets Lab to develop property tokenisation

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has announced that Barza Capital has joined as a new participant in its Digital Assets Lab, where the Qatar-based company will develop and test its own real estate coding model in accordance with the QFC's Digital Assets Framework.

In a statement issued today, the center said that Barzeh Capital is working to establish the necessary infrastructure to convert real estate assets into digital tokens, allowing investors to own partial stakes in real estate, under the supervision of specialists and experts in the real estate sector, pointing out that the Qatari real estate sector has promising potential to benefit from tokenization technology, as owning partial shares in real estate provides new opportunities for investors, as well as contributing to enhancing liquidity and transparency in ownership and transactions.

Commenting on the promising potential of crypto technology, Mr. Mansoor Rashid Al Khater, Chief Executive Officer of the QFC, said: "We welcome Barza Capital to the QFC Digital Asset Lab. Tokenization technology continues to reshape the nature of investments and the ways they identify, access and trade, with real estate emerging as one of the most promising sectors to benefit from this technology."

Barza's objectives support the continued development of Qatar's digital assets and financial services sectors, in line with the QFC's ambition to build a trusted and regulated digital asset ecosystem, in line with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Financial Sector Third Strategic Plan.

Mana Ibrahim Al Mana, Founder and Chairman of Barza Capital, said: "Our joining the QFC Digital Asset Lab is an important step for Barza Capital in its quest to create a regulated and Shari'a-compliant asset tokenization infrastructure in Qatar. Real estate will be our first stop, while we aim to develop Barzeh's platform to include a wider range of real assets over time. We look forward to collaborating with the QFC and leveraging its integrated ecosystem to build and test our model from various legal, regulatory and technical aspects, contributing to the development of a trusted digital asset ecosystem in Qatar."

The QFC's Digital Asset Lab supports Qatar's next generation of digital innovation through its platform, which allows participants to develop and test new business models. By exploring appropriate regulatory pathways for these models and collaborating with ecosystem partners, participants will be able to align their innovations with regulatory and legal requirements, improve their solutions, and turn ideas into viable models.

Barzeh Capital graduated in 2025 from the Pre-Accelerator Program, offered by Qatar FinTech Center (QFTEC), a subsidiary of Qatar Development Bank. Joining the Digital Assets Lab, she will work with the QFC to explore the appropriate regulatory path for real estate tokenization, in parallel with the development and testing of its model. During the incubation period, it will collaborate with other partners within the ecosystem to explore innovative ideas and solutions and potential collaboration opportunities that will contribute to improving its infrastructure and better meeting market needs.

Barza Capital is a Qatari fintech and real estate technology company that develops a regulated infrastructure for the tokenization of real estate and real assets. Its solution combines Shariah-compliant structures, coding technologies, and digital asset infrastructure to make investing in real estate and other eligible real assets more transparent, efficient, and accessible. Through the QFC's Digital Assets Lab, Barzah Capital is validating its legal, regulatory and technical model, starting with real estate as the first use case, with a long-term ambition to support a wider range of real assets.
