The Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced yesterday that they were adding two new E-services — including renewal of RPs — to its mobile application Metrash 2 and its website, reported Gulf Times.
The first service will permit companies and institutions to register for automatic renewal of residence permits of its employees. The automated residence permit renewal will help companies save time and efforts and can avoid fines for delay in renewal, according to The Peninsula.
To avail of this service, it is required to add companies in the new service whereas the system will automatically notify the list of individuals whose residence permits need to be renewed soon.
It also allows to remove or exempt anyone who has terminated his job in the company or for any other reason.
A company, in order to avail of this service, should subscribe to the second major E-service added to Metrash 2 — direct debit service. Once subscribed, it will allow the transfer of service fees directly from the beneficiary company's account to the account of the ministry, reported Qatar Tribune.
The Metrash2 subscribers or MoI website users can use the new direct debit service to make payments for the required services. Earlier, this was possible only through bank’s credit or debit cards.
The General Directorate of Information Systems at the MoI has urged all companies and establishments to register for the automatic residence permit renewal to save their time and effort and avoid fines for delay in renewal.
