Thermal screening for COVID-19 is no longer required in public places in Qatar, except for metro stations, airports, seaports, and the land border.
The country's Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced this in a post on its Twitter page earlier today.

"The decision comes as part of Phase 4 of the Gradual Lifting of Restrictions and with the number of new daily COVID-19 cases remaining low in recent weeks," the Ministry stated.
However, a green Ehteraz status is still mandatory to enter public places, MoPH underlined.
Qatar launched the fourth phase of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions on October 3, 2021. Some of the key decisions under this phase include the relaxation on the use of face masks in open public spaces as well as the opening of ablution facilities and toilets.
Following the implementation of this phase, schools and educational institutions in Qatar have also returned to study with full attendance of students at 100 percent of the approved capacity of the school building.
