Qatar’s annual National Day celebrations will kick-off today, November 25, 2022, at its largest and permanent venue, Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal under the slogan “Our unity is our strength”. The celebrations are expected to feature 4500 activities under 190 events spread over a 24 day period reflecting the heritage and culture in Qatar. The events which will go on till December 18, 2022 is an excellent opportunity for both visitors of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and residents to get a glimpse of the local culture and heritage in Qatar.
The multiple activities and events hosted at Darb Al Saai will include a series of games, sports activities, cultural activations, poetry readings, theatrical performances, workshops and so much more.

Covering an area of 150,000 square meters, Darb Al Saai is the largest and permanent venue to host the National Day celebrations. With the culmination of this year’s celebrations coinciding with the finals of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ on December 18, it is expected that the events featured will be more impressive to its visitors.
The Darb Al Saai venue is well-equipped with public facilities including washrooms, prayer rooms and food stalls to ensure that all its visitors have a hassle free experience.
The venue is accessible from the Doha Metro through the green lines at Old Rayyan Station. The facility also includes a huge parking lot that can accommodate around 3500 cars.
Earlier this month, HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, the Minister of Culture toured the grounds of Darb Al Saai to inspect the preparations for the upcoming celebrations.
