The Doha Jewelry and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) is all set to kickstart today at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from today until May 14, 2022. The much-hyped event by Qatar Tourism will witness many local and international brands on display at the exhibition.
The DJWE has been on a sabbatical for a year since the pandemic began and this comeback edition is touted to be bigger than ever with multiple new programs, workshops by global experts, a showcase of exclusive and limited collections, and even a display of FIFA World Cup-inspired jewelry collection. The face of this year’s campaign is Indian superstar, Alia Bhatt, who will inaugurate the event today at 12 pm.
Qatar Calendar has also announced jewlery-themed movie screenings at the DJWE lounge for the first time ever.
De Beers, the world’s leading diamond company, is expected to showcase its expertise in diamonds at the event. Objectif Horlogerie is another company that will be offering workshops in watchmaking alongside Qatar Watch Club workshops.
Some of the exhibitors participating in DJWE 2022 are Al Darwish Jewelry and Al Majed Jewelry and Watches. Some famous brands expected to be on display include Kiswah, Nafees, Bishan, RK Jewelers, Chateau Euphorie , Liebe, Moratti, Motilal Jewelers, N.M Creations, and Kotharis Jewelry.
Al Majed Jewelry is the official licensed luxury and jewelry brand for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. They are also the official authorized retailer of F.P. Journe Répétition Souveraine. The brand will put up a show of watchmaking masterpieces and other items, such as rings, silver key holders, bracelets, necklace, earrings, emblem pendants, pen holder stands, and even cufflinks. Most of the jewelry is on pre-order basis and can cost anything between QAR 1,000 to QAR 55,000.
A total of nearly 500+ brands from nearly 10 countries are going to showcase at DJWE 2022. These include local, regional, and international brands, all of which will utilize the opportunity to network with industry experts and companies in Qatar and other countries.

1. LÉTRANGE, heritage with a twist
Time: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Exhibitor: LÉTRANGE – Printemps
Presenter: Sébastien Létrange, Chairman and 7th generation family member of LÉTRANGE
The workshop will concentrate on modernizing the 184-year-old luxury leather goods company. The family history of LÉTRANGE, its business spirit passed down through the years, and how the present generation of the family is introducing modernity to its family tradition are all discussed. The program will focus on pursuing excellence in savoir-faire, product innovation, and a passion for art. The presenter will be LÉTRANGE's President and CEO is Sébastien Létrange. He is the seventh generation of the family firm, which was founded in 1838 and is one of France's oldest leather goods manufacturers.
2. Journey through time with Vacheron Constantin
Time: 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Exhibitor: Qatar Watch Club
Presenter: Abdulla Sager Al Khouri, Qatar Watch Club Founding Member
This year is a special year for both Qatar and watchmaking, as the country prepares to host the first-ever World Cup in the region, as well as the return of trade events like DJWE. What better way to commemorate this victory than with Vacheron Constantin, the world's oldest watchmaker? The presenter Abdulla is one of Qatar Watch Club's eight founding members. He is a watch collector who favors artisanal and hand-decorated independent brands. He is the club's current projects manager, and is in charge of all past and future collaborations between the club and watch companies.
