Doha Festival City held an in-mall event to raise awareness on women's health, in collaboration with Qatar’s branch of the Teal Society organization.
As part of the Doha Festival City’s commitment to Qatar’s community, and to reiterate its active role in raising awareness of breast cancer, the mall held a special afternoon brunch in partnership with The Teal Society at Jamie’ Italian.
The event was dedicated to shedding light on women's health and the importance of preventive measures to fight against breast cancer disease.
This initiative discussed the importance of early detection, and the crucial role that educating family and friends on women's health-related issues come into play in the global fight against this disease.
Robert Hall, Doha Festival City’s General Manager, said, “At Doha Festival City, we urge the community to get more familiar with preventative measures, as we believe in the impact that a continued discussion can have on women’s lives”.
During the event, NikkiJean Alexander from The Teal Society gave a special talk on women's health issues, shedding light on gynecological cancer specifically.
The Teal Society is a Los-Angeles-based non-profit organization focusing on all things related to gynecological cancer and aiming at building a tightly-women community to support those who are suffering. Founded by Qatar-based behavioral therapist and entrepreneur NickiJean Alexander, The Teal Society made its mark in the Middle East with the launch on March 8, 2020.
Doha Festival City opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.
In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors.
