Doha Festival City (DFC) has announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind Festival Fashion TV (FFTV), featuring Mexican model and actress Yezenia Navarro in its first episode.
The new FFTV series features a host of renowned fashion personalities in a challenge to choose a complete outfit for a specific occasion from the myriad of brands available at DFC.
FFTV is broadcast on DFC’s YouTube channel and IGTV featuring a new challenge and fashion figure every week. The first FFTV episode featured Navarro, who took the challenge to select a summer outfit suitable for a casual weekend lunch with her friends from Sfera for no more than QR500.
After discovering a variety of options available at the store, the style icon, and previous Mrs. Universe 2014 (1st RU), Yezenia chose a blouse for QR185 and a skirt for QR249.
“DFC is pleased to provide innovative platforms to support shoppers to select the best and latest fashion collections from their favorite brands at the mall. Every week, we will take shoppers on a virtual journey showcasing available fashion options at DHFC. In partnership with popular fashion figures from the community, FFTV will provide insight and tips for shoppers to make informed choices once they visit the mall,” DFC general manager Robert Hall said in a statement.
FFTV allows shoppers to become real trendsetters, whether they are a student on a budget, a professional looking to revamp their style or a socialite who needs a brand-new closet. Participating fashion personalities will get the opportunity to showcase their expertise, whilst providing the audience with tips that will help them select their favorite fashion outfits from DHFC’s plethora of fashion brands.
The second episode of FFTV will broadcast on August 16 where TV presenter Crystal Tannoury will be challenged to choose an outfit for under QR500 from Girls on Film (Collezione).
On August 23, FFTV's third episode will see beIN Sports anchor Shaima al-Hammadi challenged to choose her best on-a-budget outfit from Anotah store at DHFC.
DFC opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10:00 am to 10: 00 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.
All outlets within our two food courts still welcome home delivery and takeaways. Entertainment including cinema and play areas will remain closed. Children under 12 are still excluded from entering the mall until further notice.
In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, DFC has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.
At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall. Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks, and branches and various retail shops were installed to help shoppers keep the required physical distance as set forth in the guidelines by the authorities. Stores will provide sanitizers on entry and at cash points to ensure the highest level of hygiene
