The 17th edition of the Doha Jewelry & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) kicked off yesterday and will run until February 29 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).

The highly-popular event is organized by Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

DJWE is a leading platform for jewelry enthusiasts to discover the latest trends and innovations in the industry and see collections from renowned international and Qatari brands.

This year’s edition is said to be the largest ever, with 129 exhibitors from 14 countries showcasing 500 local and international brands, spread across 33,000 square meters.

The exhibition will be open daily from 12 pm to 10 pm, with limited hours on Friday, February 28, from 4 pm to 10 pm.

Several events and workshops are organized on the sidelines of the 17th edition of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition, in collaboration with its partners.

Those interested in attending the workshops can register through the event website www.djwe.qa or by clicking here.

The Young Qatari Designers Initiative returns to the exhibition this year with five new designers, showcasing 16 jewelry brands, in a special zone, bringing the total to 18.

The initiative was launched to support Qatari creatives and showcase their work and achievements, enabling them to display their designs alongside some of the biggest luxury brands in the world.

DJWE 2020 sees a Turkish Pavilion that features 11 Turkish brands, in addition to the return of the Indian Pavilion for the second year in a row with 28 brands featured more than double the number in 2019.

The Indian Pavilion has on display wide and distinctive varieties of the finest Indian jewelry that has been crafted to suit all tastes and occasions.

A global media campaign had been running in target markets in advance of DJWE, featuring famed Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor as the face of the campaign and the guide for visitors on their journey to beauty.

The celebrity graced the opening ceremony of the exhibition on February 24, 2020.

This year’s edition also witnesses the continued participation of some of Qatar’s premier jewelry patrons, at the forefront of which are: Al-Fardan Jewellery, Al-Majed Jewellery, Ali Bin Ali Jewellery and Watches Group, Amiri Jewellery, Fifty-One East, Al Muftah Jewellery, and Blue Salon.

The exhibition is supported by several partners, led by Qatar National Bank (QNB) as the official sponsor, Qatar Airways as airline partner, JW Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha as the official hospitality partner, Alfardan Automotive and Sotheby's International Realty Qatar.
