Within the framework of the first phase of a plan to gradually lifting the restrictions, it was decided to cancel the issuance of entry and exit permits to and from the Industrial Area starting Monday, June 15.
However, entry and exit checkpoints will remain to ensure compliance with precautionary measures, including checking that bus capacity is reduced by half, masks are on, and only those with a “green” health status on Ehteraz App will be able to enter the area.

The Industrial Area was partially closed after the discovering coronavirus (COVID-19) among its residents. During the partial closure period, thousands of individuals were examined. More than 6,500 individuals were transferred to quarantine accommodation with free high-quality health care to those suspected or contracted the virus.
It must be underlined that the easing of restrictions does not mean the virus is no longer a threat, the Government Communications Office (GCO) reminded the residents. All members of society should continue to take precautions and follow recommended guidelines to ensure the successful implementation of the gradual lifting of the restrictions imposed in Qatar, with the aim of returning to normalcy, the statement stressed.
