The fifth edition of the Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS) kicked-off at The Pearl-Qatar yesterday.

Qatar’s Minister of Economy and Commerce HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani formally inaugurating the event, which will run until March 17, reported Gulf Times.

The event, being held at the Porto Arabia Marina at The Pearl Qatar, has become a principal annual fixture.

The QIBS has achieved tremendous success in a short period of time and has managed to attract the industry’s key players.

This year, the show is being attended by several prominent brands and names, with more than 70 exhibitors taking part in the five-day event. It is playing host to boats from 15 countries and introduce the region’s boat enthusiasts to the latest technological advancements, Qatar Living had reported earlier.

QIBS is also expected to feature several unique experiences including marine tours, prizes, water activities, marine races, and several seminars.
