Several QLers have asked us how one can register a complain against the company or employer they work for. Thanks to Qatar's new Hukoomi e-Government services, it is easier for all to register a complaint.

The Labor Law of Qatar provides a body of laws and regulations outlining the legal rights, restrictions and obligations of workers, employers and workers committees. All parties involved should adhere to the Labor Law.

The Ministry of Labor is authorized to mediate in cases of labor dispute. Workers may submit their complaints to the ministry’s Department of Labor Relations.

After investigating a worker’s complaint, the Labor Department will try its best to resolve the issue without referring it to court.

The department will contact the employer and request for proofs and documents if necessary. If a resolution cannot be reached, the case will be referred to court.

You may also lodge a complaint against your employer by calling 4440 6406 if you're not able to submit your complain online. A government official will then guide you with the aprropriate procedure.
