Starting August 1, 2021, all types of fuel in Qatar will be available for higher prices.

Qatar Petroleum (QP) issued the latest fuel pricelist today, according to which there will be a ten dirham increase in the price of Premium Gasoline. It will be available for QR 2.05 a liter from tomorrow.

Reflecting a similar change of ten dirhams, the price of Super Gasoline is increased to QR 2.10 a liter in August from QR 2.00 in July 2021.

Citizens and residents of Qatar will be able to purchase Diesel at a cost of QR 1.95 per liter. This reflects an increase of five dirhams from Diesel's price in July.

Fuel prices in Qatar have been on an upward trend from the beginning of this year.

January 2021 saw a slight increase from December 2020, however, all fuel prices were raised.

February 2021 saw another sharp rise in fuel prices where all types of fuel were available at a difference of 15 dirhams more than their price per liter in January 2021.

In March 2021, Premium Gasoline was sold for QAR 1.60 per liter, Super Gasoline could be purchased at QAR 1.65 for a liter and Diesel was available for QAR 1.60 a liter.

April 2021 saw another sharp rise with Super Gasoline available at QAR 1.85 a liter, Premium Gasoline could be purchased for QR1.80 a liter. Diesel's price was set at QR 1.70.

In May, the only change in price was seen in Diesel, while Super Gasoline and Premium Gasoline maintained the same prices as of April's.

Followed by an increase in fuel prices during the month of June, July has seen a considerable increase in fuel prices when compared to previous months.   

Moreover, the month of August has seen yet another considerable increase in fuel prices.
