Google Developers Group (GDG) Doha, held the “Google I/O Extended” event, on July 31, 2018, at the Digital Incubation Center in Doha. 

Google I/O is an annual event taking place in Mountain View, California, encouraging the growing number of developers worldwide to connect. It consists of talks, learning sessions and announcements related to Google’s latest developer products - an agenda awaited by many tech enthusiasts. 

Google I/O Extended is a satellite event that takes place in many cities around the world featuring the live streaming or videos of the I/O event in California. It’s a great opportunity for developers to connect, learn new things and get inspired. 

Google I/O Extended Doha included a series of talks, demos and VR activities. Attendees learned about Google Assistant, Data Studio, TensorFlow, Material Design, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, and AIYProjects among other topics. 

The event also featured an inspiring recap of this year’s Google I/O with insights from guest speakers and local tech communities, such as ArabWIC and IEEE.
