Families and children can engage in a host of activities such as observing the livestock at the barns, camel and horse riding, watching artists create livestock-themed paintings, or simply getting their hands on some traditional handicrafts. The artisans will explain to visitors about the specific creations and their link with Qatar’s past.

Additionally, children will have a chance to participate in some contests such as the Little Shepherd competition aimed at reviving traditions. The idea behind this activity is to pass on skills, experiences and knowledge of the profession to the next generation.
