The start of a new year is a great time to engage in something challenging.

If you’re looking for a new experience, perhaps you’d like to enroll in one of the several language courses on offer at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Translation and Interpreting Institute (TII).

The institute has recently announced the opening of registration for its spring 2020 language courses for children, teenagers and adults.

Adults can choose from a wide list of language courses on offer including Arabic, German, French, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean and English.

Children and teenagers, on the other hand, can enroll in Arabic, German, French, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish language courses.

Led by the Language Center at TII, the courses offer “a cultural context for personal development, professional enrichment and travel purposes.”

Those who join the courses will be able to enjoy a culturally enriching learning experience, according to TII.

The courses incorporate the latest teaching methodologies and will include songs, games, crafts, drama, and art to elevate the learning experience.

“The courses are designed to promote an immersive learning experience that is both effective and engaging. We welcome the community to enroll in one of the language courses, which will not only expand their language repertoire but also enhance their knowledge of the different countries and cultures that make up Qatar’s diverse society,” said Dr Ahmad Nazari, Director of the Language Centre at TII.

Timings for the classes will be flexible with all sessions to be held at Penrose House in Education City.
