His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah yesterday at Dasman Palace.

HH the Amir exchanged Ramadan greetings with the Kuwaiti Amir before proceeding to review the strong brotherly relations and deep ties between the two countries.

The two leaders engaged in discussions centered on enhancing the Qatar-Kuwait bond and ways to support and promote their friendly ties.

A slew of regional and international issues of mutual concern were discussed during the meeting.

Personal Representative of the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and members of the delegation accompanying HH the Amir also joined in the meeting.

The Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, Deputy Chief of the Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, as well as a number of other top officials, Kuwaiti Sheikhs and senior officials were also in attendance during the discussions.

The Kuwaiti Amir also hosted an Iftar banquet for HH the Amir of Qatar and his accompanying delegation.

Earlier upon arrival at Kuwait International Airport, His Highness the Amir was warmly welcomed by the Amir of Kuwait.

Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah along with a number of ministers and Kuwaiti Sheikhs also received HH the Amir.

Qatar's ambassador to Kuwait Bandar bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Kuwait's ambassador to Qatar Hafeez Mohamed Al Ajmi and members of the Qatari embassy were also present on the occasion.

HH the Amir left for Doha on Sunday evening at the conclusion of his brotherly visit to Kuwait.

Kuwaiti Crown Prince as well as Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker, Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, a number of Sheikhs and senior officials bid farewell to HH the Amir and the delegation accompanying him at Kuwait International Airport.
