Yesterday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held talks with the Pakistani Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his accompanying delegation at the Al Bahr Palace.

The session focused on reviewing bilateral ties between the two nations and ways of boosting them further.
The two sides also exchanged views on the most recent developments in the region and around the world.
Qatar and Pakistan continue to boost relations as shown by the commitment of officials from both countries who have exchanged visits in recent years.
In addition to holding political consultations and meetings of joint committees, the two nations have agreed to collaborate in several domains including politics, economy, commerce, security, education, media, sports, meteorology, and prevention of tax duplicity.
Pakistan is one of Qatar's most significant trade partners. In 2018, the Qatar-Pakistan trade volume went up by 63 percent to hit the QR9.5 billion mark.
