His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received the Palestinian Prime Minister Dr Mohammed Shtayyeh and the delegation accompanying him at the Amiri Diwan yesterday.
During the official talks session between the two sides, the Palestinian PM briefed HH the Amir on the most recent developments in Palestine and the violation of the rights of the Palestinians by the Israeli occupation forces.
Dr Shtayyeh expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s consistent support to Palestine, in particular for the Gaza Strip reconstruction following the Israeli attacks recently.
HH the Amir reiterated Qatar’s solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the country’s support for the brotherly people of Palestine to get their legitimate national rights.
The Palestinian PM also met with his Qatari counterpart His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Thani yesterday.

The two ministers engaged in discussions on Palestinian developments, especially regarding the protection of Al Aqsa Mosque and Islamic holy sites as well as ways to stabilize the ceasefire.
They also discussed about the efforts of the Arab and international community for Gaza’s reconstruction.
HE Sheikh Khalid and Dr Shatayyeh also reviewed Qatar-Palestine relations and ways to bolster them.
Later, in an interview with Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian PM affirmed that Qatar is an important and fundamental supporter of the Palestinian cause, politically, morally and materially.
He highlighted that his visit to Qatar was to request the continuation of Doha’s position to complete Palestinian reconciliation.
