HH The Amir hosts President Macron at official dinner in Lusail

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani hosted an official dinner in honor of HE President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic and his accompanying delegation at Lusail Palace today.

On this occasion, HH The Amir delivered a speech in which he welcomed HE the French President, stressing the depth of the partnership between the two countries and the importance of the visit in enhancing cooperation in various sectors.

HH The Amir expressed his appreciation for the friendship and understanding prevailed during the visit, and his confidence in the continued development of the partnership based on mutual respect and shared values, in order to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples and support international stability, security and peace.

For his part, HE the French President expressed his thanks to HH The Amir, praising the partnership and convergence of visions between the two countries, noting the cooperation between the two countries and the vitality of coordination between the two countries.

His Excellency also praised the economic partnership and mutual investments, especially in technology, energy and industry, stressing the continuation of work within the "One Planet" initiative for sovereign funds to support investment in future sectors.

The banquet was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, wife of HH The Amir.

It was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

It was also attended by HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, and a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, ministers, dignitaries, senior officials in the UAE and businessmen.
