HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani participated in a joint telephone call alongside US President Donald Trump and a number of leaders from the Middle East to discuss the latest regional and international developments amid growing security and political challenges facing the region.

The call included Bahrain’s King HH Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Jordan’s King HRH Abdullah II, UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.

During the discussions, the leaders exchanged views on ways to contain tensions and prevent further escalation that could threaten regional peace and stability.

The leaders also expressed their appreciation to President Trump for coordinating consultations among the concerned parties to help preserve regional and international security and peace, while commending Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in this regard.

HH The Amir stressed the importance of intensifying consultation and coordination among relevant countries to support regional and international stability, emphasizing that diplomatic solutions remain the best path to resolving crises and preventing the consequences of escalation on regional peace and security.
