The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) said Thursday, April 3, would mark the start of the El Muqaddam star period, also known as ‘Al Hameem Al Thani’ (the second Hameem), which will last for a total of 13 days.

The QMD, in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, said this period was typically characterized by a rise in temperature and dominance of northwesterly winds.

Sudden weather fluctuations are common, including formation of cumulus clouds, which may lead to thunderstorms and dust storms, said the QMD.
