The Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality announced via Twitter that the local honey and dates festival will take place from December 29, 2022 to January 5, 2023. The week-long festival will take place every day from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm at Al Mazrouah Yard, which is located next to the Umm Salal Central Market.

The event will include the participation of local farms and apiaries selling different varieties of honey and dates.

The Ministry of Municipality invited the public to attend the event that aims to promote local farms and agricultural produce.

Qatar produces three types of honey locally including Sidr, Samur and Al Rabi. Sidr honey has the highest demand in Qatar and is hence produced in large quantities.
