The country’s tryst with cold weather seems set to continue.
Qatar’s Met department has warned that strong winds are expected in parts of the country by mid-day today, following yet another spell of fog, mist and poor visibility in the morning, reported Gulf Times.
There is likely to be low visibility in offshore areas in the early hours of the day. There is also a warning in place for windy conditions and high seas by the evening.
Last week, the Met department had warned people to expect foggy weather and low visibility until January 2.
The detailed forecast for the day says hazy to misty/foggy conditions are expected inland in the early hours, which will be followed by moderate temperatures and slight to blowing dust in some places along with scattered clouds.
The report says offshore areas are also likely to experience hazy to misty/foggy conditions. Slight dust is expected at times and it will also be partly cloudy later. The sea level may rise to 8ft by the evening.
The minimum temperature today is expected to be 9C in Abu Samra, Al Wakrah and Mesaieed, and 13C in Doha.
