The parachute jumping team of Qatar’s Joint Special Forces created history by entering the Guinness Book of World Records for breaking the record for ‘largest parachute formation at night,’ reported Gulf Times.
The feat was certified by the Guinness authorities after relevant bodies, including the World Air Sports Federation, confirmed that all necessary conditions were met. The team entered the Guinness Records on December 12.

Qatar’s 25-member parachute team, one of the best anywhere in the world, achieved the impressive formations during air shows.
Major-General Hamad bin Abdullah Al Futtais Al Marri, commander of the Joint Special Forces, received the Guinness World Records and the Guinness Book of Records recognition from authorities at the Darb Al Saai ground during Qatar National Day celebrations, reported Qatar Tribune.
The Qatari team has had great success this year, winning nine gold, seven silver and four bronze medals in various international competitions.
