Qatar Airways has expanded its network in the Americas with the launch of new flight operations to Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia, beginning July 22, 2026.
The new service marks a significant milestone for the airline, making Qatar Airways the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela and the first airline to operate a route connecting the Middle East with Caracas and Bogotá.
Twice-weekly flights from Doha
Qatar Airways will operate two flights each week, departing every Wednesday and Sunday.
The service follows a triangular routing from Doha to Bogotá, continuing to Caracas before returning to Doha.
The scheduled flights are:
- Doha to Bogotá — QR783: Departure at 7:30 am; arrival at 4:05 pm
- Bogotá to Caracas — QR783: Departure at 5:35 pm; arrival at 8:40 pm
- Caracas to Doha — QR783: Departure at 10:40 pm; arrival at 7:55 pm the following day
Passengers should confirm the latest timings before travelling, as schedules may be subject to operational changes.
Improved connections through Doha
The flight schedule has been designed to provide passengers with onward connections through Hamad International Airport.
Travellers from Colombia and Venezuela will be able to connect to key destinations including:
- Australia
- China
- Japan
- Lebanon
- South Korea
- United Arab Emirates
The service also gives passengers travelling from these markets another option for reaching South America through Doha.
First Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela
The launch of the Caracas service makes Qatar Airways the first airline from the Gulf region to operate flights to Venezuela.
The Bogotá and Caracas routes also expand the airline’s presence in Latin America, where it began operations in 2010 with the launch of flights to São Paulo, Brazil.
With the two new additions, Qatar Airways now serves 16 destinations across the Americas.
Qatar Airways continues global network expansion
Qatar Airways is rebuilding and expanding its international network to more than 160 destinations during the summer travel season.
The addition of Bogotá and Caracas supports the airline’s wider strategy of strengthening links between the Americas, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
The new routes are expected to serve business travellers, tourists and passengers visiting family and friends, while improving access between South America and Qatar Airways’ wider global network.

Passengers can book flights to Bogotá and Caracas through the official Qatar Airways website or the airline’s mobile application.
Travellers should review visa, transit and entry requirements for Qatar, Colombia and Venezuela before completing their bookings.
