Thinking of heading out to Katara's beaches as they have been reopened?

Entrance to the beaches at Katara will now be through paid tickets, Katara announced on its social media channels earlier this week.

The paid entry rule went into effect yesterday, July 4.

According to the announcement, ticket prices will vary between different ages.

Ticket prices are as follows:

For ages 18 years and above - QR 50

From 7 to 18 years - QR 25

Less than 7 years: free entry

Katara reopened its beaches 3, 4, and 5 on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, as Qatar entered phase 2 of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions with preventive and precautionary measures in place.

The beaches will remain open from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and swimming is only allowed in designated areas of beaches 3 and 4 until sunset.

Jet Ski ports have also been opened again since July 1, 2020, as well. Timings are from 3:00 pm until sunset.

Several safety measures have been implemented to ensure a safe experience for all.

Earlier, during Phase 1, Katara Hills Promenade (North and South) had been reopened for sporting activities.

Here's everything you need to know about the virus, including ways to protect yourself.
