With the first match to take place in less than two months, the FIFA World Cup is becoming more of a reality as the countdown is almost over. Fans who have not been able to secure seats or need more tickets have another opportunity to do so with the start of the last-minute sales phase on Tuesday 27 September at 11 AM CET / 12 PM local time.
Tickets can be purchased at FIFA.com/tickets and are subject to availability as they're going to be selling on a first-come, first-served basis. As history has shown, tickets tend to sell quickly so fans are requested to keep visiting the website regularly as additional tickets are expected to be made available at resale and new release dates in the coming weeks.
Tickets are available in four price categories with category 4 reserved for the residents of the host country. Fans can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets per match and 60 tickets throughout the tournament. Disabled people and people with limited mobility are encouraged to browse the options online and select from a range of dedicated Accessibility Tickets.
Qatar will be hosting match-ups on the same day, giving fans the chance to watch two showdowns on certain group-stage matches on the same day. Details on match compatibility can be found here.
The general public will be given mobile tickets till later on in October when FIFA will release a dedicated ticketing app where the purchased tickets will be uploaded and activated when fans can access the stadium. To read more information on it, click here.
In addition to the app, the Hayya card (digital fan ID) is mandatory for all ticket holders. This is an entry permit for the State of Qatar and, in addition to a match ticket, is required for stadium access.
To apply for a digital Hayya, and to book accommodation, please visit Qatar2022.qa or download the Hayya to Qatar 2022 app (available on iOS and Android). Hayya is operated by the government of the State of Qatar.
Visit the FAQs section on FIFA.com/tickets for more information about the ticketing products and price categories.
