Flat White is a café for real coffee lovers in Doha and has become a local hotspot. The coffee shop is the product of two Qataris' passion for coffee. They were successfully able to create a hub for coffee lovers which was their primary goal.

I went to check out what the hype was all about and whether it was justified. When you first walk in, you will definitely notice that almost everyone there is wearing thobes or abayas. This comes as no surprise as coffee is a big part of Qatari culture and is introduced early on in one's life.

I asked for the most popular drink and the server recommended the Flat White or Turmeric Latte. Feeling daring, I went for the Turmeric Latte and my friend went for the Flat White. It was definitely a strange combination, and made for a spicy cup of coffee. I didn't hate and I didn't love it. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the Flat White as I'm not into that kind of intense coffee. If I go a next time, I would probably go for a regular latte.

However, if you are a coffee enthusiast, you will love it. Although somewhat pricey, you will get real, quality coffee in a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere. You can quietly work on your laptop, read a book or have a chat with a friend at Flat White, while sipping on some quality coffee (emphasis on the word quality).

As I said, it's not for everyone but if you love coffee it'll be your number one spot. Believe it or not, you can even book an appointment with them for coffee training.
