The winters are finally coming home to Qatar.

The country’s Met Department has said that starting this week, temperatures in some parts of the country could drop to less than 15°C, reported Gulf Times.

In a report, the Met Department said that there would be a ‘noticeable drop in temperature this week, by 4°C to 5°C, due to the continued effect of northwesterly winds over the country.”

The maximum temperatures expected in the country should range between 24°C to 29°C during daytime and between 16°C to 22°C at night. The temperatures should reach less than 15°C in Qatar’s southern parts, especially on the dawn of Thursday and Friday, November 22 and 23, reported The Peninsula.

Today’s forecast says strong winds and high seas are expected in offshore areas along with scattered clouds. The northwesterly wind speeds will be 12 to 22 knots, going up to 38 knots in some places. The sea level has a good chance of rising to 15ft or more.

Moderate daytime temperature is expected in inshore areas today. The conditions will also be slightly dusty in some places. It will be mild by night.
