The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was introduced to the Qatar market by the GM of MS Qatar, Mr Naim Yazbeck, at a recent Mobility Conference held at Marsa Malaz Kempinski. Hailed as a tablet-meets-laptop, it won 'Computer of the Year' at the Stuff Gadget Awards 2014. Here are some of the features that make it such a cool piece of equipment:

• It is one of the thinnest laptops on the market at 9.1mm.

• 12 inch full HD screen (2160 x 1440).

• Weighs only 800g, which is 40% less than a MacBook Air.

• Has 9 hours of battery life.

• Has a front and a rear camera - both are 5MP.

• Has fourth generation of Intel core processors: Intel I3, I5 or I7 is available.

• Has the world's thinnest keyboard. The keyboard comes in 5 different colours. They have also introduced a magnetic fold option which provides better stability.

• Has a smooth kick-stand mechanism, allowing for better user experience.

• The docking station has 6 USB ports for internet, audio, printer and other devices.

• The unique pen gives a realistic pen experience, with features that allow users to make better notes.

• You can also run two different applications on the same screen for example you could be working on a Powerpoint presentation, whilst also watching a movie.

At the moment the device is available for commercial users only; consumers will have to wait unfortunately.
